A Study on Promotion of Employment of People With Disabilities in Publication, Movies, Communication and Information Industries

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to compare characteristics of employment in publication, movies, communication and information industries to other industries, and to suggest a policy to improve employment in those industries.
The sample of this research consists of 1,579 businesses companies who hire people with disabilities, and the data came from the "2010 Business Disabled Employee Status Study" of the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled. This study conducted t-tests, Chi-square test to examine the difference between the four industries and others.
The followings are results of the study. First, there are differences between the two industries in employee recruitment and management. But, awareness of employee with disability has no difference in two industries.
According to the study results, some practical implications to improve employment of people with disabilities in the communication and information industries.
